🌍 Rooted in History: Named in honor of Chief Faku kaNgqungqushe, our running club draws inspiration from the 19th-century monarch who unified communities and expanded his kingdom's horizons. In 2012, a serendipitous encounter with Chief Faku's hut ignited the spark for our annual 47km run through the picturesque landscapes of Pondoland. It's a journey that embodies the spirit of unity, heritage, and the love we share for South Africa.
🏆 Comrades Legacy: Fast forward to the present, and the Faku Chiefs have etched their own legacy on the hallowed grounds of the Comrades Marathon. We've become more than just runners; we're a community that thrives on challenge and camaraderie.
